This page describes what actually happens to data on this site. It is short because the site does little.

What the site does not do

What happens when you use a form

The forms on this site — on the dataset page, the Pro page, and on each operator record — send what you type to Formspree Inc., a form processor established in the United States, which forwards it to our mailbox.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Serving a page necessarily involves your IP address and browser reaching their servers. We do not receive, store or consult those logs.

The register data itself

⚠️ This point matters and is easy to get wrong. The operators listed here are companies, published in a public official register — that is not personal data. But some are sole traders, and a company name can be a person's name. If a record concerns you personally and you want it off this site, write to us and we will remove it, whatever the legal analysis says. We will also tell you plainly that it stays in the official European register, which we do not control.

⚠️ Email addresses and phone numbers from the register are never published on these pages, precisely to keep them away from harvesters. They exist in the file we sell, to buyers who identify themselves.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, objection: write to contact@egid-vaud.ch. No form, and no proof of identity beyond what is needed to be sure it is you. If you are in the EU and are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority; in Switzerland, to the FDPIC.

This page describes real practice, not a legal template. It is written by the person who operates the site, and it will be updated when the practice changes rather than when a lawyer is next consulted.
